Being a student athlete in college is certainly not for the non-committal. Taking on two sports, however, requires a whole different level of dedication. University of Minnesota Duluth senior mid-distance runner Savannah Schley caught up with Bulldog Brock Unger to discuss how he navigates (survives) class, homework, and two of his greatest passions: track and football.

This weekend the University of Minnesota Duluth track and field teams will compete in the 2025 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Outdoor Conference Championships. The best part? University of Minnesota Duluth senior infielder Nicole Schmitt has been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II First Team All-Central Region this afternoon.

Thirty-nine wins. A sweep of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference regular season and postseason champions on their home turf in nearly a decade. Two NSIC First Team selections and a NSIC All-Defensive Team standout. Four single-season records broken. And... a postseason run that went all the way to the NSIC Semifinals.
