Four Bulldog Volleyball Players Named to CSC Academic All District Team
UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Competition
Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
Four members of the University of Minnesota Duluth volleyball team have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All District honors. Senior Cianna Selbitschka, graduate student Madison Gordon, senior Grace Daak, and senior Kaylyn Madison.
Outside hitter Cianna Selbitschka played in all 104 sets for the Bulldogs this season, and led the team in kills per set and points per set this year. Selbitschka reached 1,000 career kills this season and is a finalist for CSC's Academic All America team.
Setter Madison Gordon finished her career as a Bulldog this season within the top 10 all time for career assists. The integrated elementary and special education major broke the 3,000 career assists mark earlier this season against St. Cloud State.
Middle blocker Grace Daak led the Bulldogs in total blocks and blocks per set after playing in 100 sets this season. The graduating senior broke into the Bulldogs' top 10 all time for total career blocks earlier this season.
Libero Kaylyn Madison reached 1,000 career digs this season with the Bulldogs. The marketing major led the team in digs per set and service aces through the team's journey to the NCAA regional tournament.
CSC Academic All America teams, first through third, will be announced on Jan. 9, 2024.
