Ware and Mornhinweg Join Bulldog Football Coaching Staff
The University of Minnesota Duluth football coaching staff added two new coaches to its coaching staff Monday in Mekhi Ware and Bobby Cade Mornhinweg.
Ware comes from Midwestern State University where he served as graduate assistant defensive back coach. A varsity defensive back coach at Culver City High School in Culver City, Calf. in 2022, Ware served as a defensive player assistant at Indiana State in the spring of 2022.
Ware was a starting cornerback during his collegiate career at Indiana State from 2017-2021, and made six solo tackles and eight total tackles against Southern Illinois in his senior season, where he also broke up two passes for the Sycamores. In 2019, Ware broke up 11 passes and finished among the top-10 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference in pass deflections.
Mornhinweg joins the Bulldogs after serving as an offensive analyst at North Dakota State University last season. Prior to joining the Bison staff, Mornhinweg was a tight end coach at Carroll College for the 2022 season.
A 2022 graduate of Carroll College, Mornhinweg was a wide receiver at Carroll College from 2018-2002 after a five month stint at the University of San Diego in 2018. Mornhinweg is the son of Marty Mornhinweg, who coached in the NFL for more than 20 seasons.
