69 Bulldogs Named to 2023 NSIC Fall All-Academic Teams

Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community.
The five University of Minnesota Duluth athletic teams that competed during 2023 fall athletic season had a combined total of 69 student athletes earn Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic honors, the conference announced Thursday.
UMD also had 42 fall student athletes who were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, which requires a student athlete to have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher. All 69 student athletes earned NSIC All-Academic Team membership that requires a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.

A total of 831 student-athletes have earned NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2023 fall athletic season; 521 student-athletes were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, while 310 earned NSIC All-Academic Team honors. To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
