UMD Track and Field Ends Outdoor Regular Season at Meet of the UnSaintly
The University of Minnesota Duluth track and field teams wrapped up the outdoor regular season with limited entries in Hamline University's Meet of the UnSaintly on Friday, May 3.
UMD's meet was highlighted by Josie Bond's first place in the women's 1500m. She ran a 4:54.16. The junior was the only runner to finish under five minutes, ahead of four runners from Macalester College.
Her teammate, Elizabeth VanLoon, ran a 20:17.00 5k, earning her second place. She finished over thirty seconds ahead of the next runner.
On the men's side, sophomore Zach Anderson ran the 5k in 16:27.09, also placing second. Two field athletes set personal bests, Connor Kostynick in discus (41.83m) and shot put (13.46m).

Coming up, the Bulldogs will head to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Championships. The meet will take place in Mankato, starting Thursday, May 9.
