Bulldog Soccer Continues Road Schedule Against Wayne State College and Augustana
The University of Minnesota Duluth soccer team continues their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) road schedule this weekend with matchups against the Wayne State College Wildcats and the Augustana University Vikings.

The Bulldogs split their previous weekend schedule, falling 2-1 in a hard fought matchup against the St. Cloud State Huskies and securing their first win of 2024 over the University of Minnesota Crookston.
An early goal in the sixth minute from Gwendolyn Lilly allowed the Bulldogs to lead the Huskies for a majority of the first half. SCSU would go on to tie it up just before the halftime intermission and take over the lead early in the 63rd minute, holding off the Bulldogs throughout the remainder of the game.
UMD secured their first win of the season over the UMC Golden Eagles on Sunday after a Jessica Eischens rebound goal in the 20th minute. The Bulldogs held UMC to just 11 total shots and six shots on goal throughout the game for their first shutout and win of the year.
Scouting Report - Wayne State College Wildcats
The Wayne State College Wildcats hold a 3-2-1 overall record and a 2-0 conference record so far in 2024 after defeating Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Sioux Falls last weekend.
The Bulldogs met the Wildcats one time throughout the 2023 season last year, with both teams pushing the other to a 0-0 draw at James S. Malosky Stadium.
UMD holds a 16-2-4 record over WSC throughout program history, and is 6-2-2 against them since 2013. Each team will look to build on their winning momentum as they look to rise in the NSIC standings.
Scouting Report - Augustana University Vikings
The Augustana University Vikings hold a 2-3-1 overall record and a 1-1 conference record throughout 2024 following their win over Winona State and loss to Minnesota State University Mankato last weekend.
The Bulldogs also only met the Vikings once throughout the 2023 season, again pushing them to a 0-0 draw at home in James S. Malosky Stadium.
UMD holds a 13-9-3 record over AUG throughout program history, and is 4-6-2 against them since 2013. The Bulldogs currently sit at ninth in the NSIC standings, and will look to move ahead of the eighth place Vikings in this matchup.
Looking Ahead
Bulldog Soccer returns to James S. Malosky Stadium on Friday, Oct. 4, for their first home and home slate of the NSIC schedule against the Minnesota State University Mankato Mavericks and the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears. Kickoff against the Mavericks is currently scheduled for 6:00 PM.
