Former Bulldog Anna Tobias Joins Real Meda
Former University of Minnesota Duluth soccer forward Anna Tobias has signed a contract with Real Meda of the Series A, Group A league in Italy.
The native of Lakeville, Minn. was offered a two week trial back in April, which led to the contract offer. Real Meda is located in Meda, Italy and plays all home matches in the Stadio Mino Favini.
Tobias led UMD in total points for two of the four seasons she was a Bulldog, including last season. As a senior in 2024, Tobias scored four goals and added two assists for 10 points in 17 games. For her career, the forward started in 55 of a possible 72 games and amassed 40 points on 17 total goals -- which included six game-winners -- and six assists. Tobias recorded the fastest hat trick in NCAA Division II history on Sept. 17, 2023 when she scored three goals against the University of Minnesota Crookston over a span 1:08.
Tobias will report to Meda for preseason on August 18th -- the same day that the Bulldogs will begin their preseason ahead of the 2025 season.
