Bulldog Indoor Track Teams Find Success at the Snowshoe Open
The University of Minnesota Duluth men's and women's track teams had a successful Snowshoe Open Friday inside the Recreation and Wellness Sports Field Complex on the campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Bulldog women turned in a 1-2 finish in the 800 meters, led by junior Savannah Schley's first place run of 2:12:76, which doubled as both a provisional time and the second fastest time run in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this season. Senior Francine Seidel finished second to Schley, and her time of 2:15:84 also qualified as a NCAA provisional time.
Schley and Seidel were also part of the first place women's 4 x 400 meter relay that, along with senior Megan Gilles and sophomore Kate Fitzgerald, finished with a time 4:02:16 and the fifth fastest time in the NSIC.
Sophomore Jordan Grell ran to a runner-up finish in the 200 meters with a time of 26:30.
