UMD Bulldogs "ALLETE" Moments: Community

Throughout this year, UMD Athletics is partnering with Minnesota Power, ALLETE to highlight the Bulldogs accomplishments in the 3 C's: Classroom, Competition, Community. 

University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey senior Darian Gotz is one of three finalists for the National Collegiate Hockey Conference 2023-24 Sportsmanship Award. 

The NCHC announced the finalists for all twelve individual awards today. The Sportsmanship Award is voted on by conference groups and staff. 

 Since the 2013-14 season, three UMD players have won the Sportsmanship Award. The last Bulldog to win the award was Kobe Roth (2019-20). The other two previous winners from UMD are Karson Kuhlman (2017-18) and Cal Decowski (2015-16). 

The NCHC individual award winners will be announced live at the NCHC Awards Celebration on Thursday, March 21 in St. Paul, Minn.
