UMD Athletic Department Announces Bulldog Loyalty Program
The University of Minnesota Duluth Athletic Department announced its brand new Bulldog Loyalty Program Monday morning that will use a points system to assign value to each eligible donor and/or season ticket holder.
"The Bulldog Loyalty Program will allow donors and season ticket holders to customize their experiences and engagement with UMD student-athletes, coaches and staff in ways that have never been available before," said UMD director of athletics Forrest Karr. "We know that each person has a unique reason for supporting Bulldog Athletics, and now we can steward and thank supporters based on their own interests."
The Bulldog Loyalty program is an experience based benefits program that rewards longevity, loyalty, and generosity to the UMD Athletic Department. Philanthropic support to any fund supporting Bulldog Athletics, season ticket purchases, UMD alumni status and other areas of philanthropic support across campus all contribute to your Bulldog Loyalty Points. Any UMD Athletics donor who makes an annual gift of $100 or more and/or current season ticket holders for any Bulldog sport will be given a score, which can then be used for personalized stewardship experiences, season ticket seat relocation, and more.
The point criteria for the Bulldog Loyalty Program is as follows:
-
Current Fiscal Year Giving (July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024) to UMD Athletics — 10 points per $100
-
Life to Date Commitments to UMD Athletics through previous Fiscal year — 1 point per $1000
-
Consecutive years of season ticket purchases based upon calendar year — 10 points per year (e.g., hockey years + football years X 10)
-
Current Fiscal Year Giving to UMD, excluding UMD Athletics — 1 point per $300
-
Former UMD student-athlete — 40 points (one time award of points)
-
UMD Alumni — 20 points (one time award of points)
"We hope that however you choose to engage with UMD Athletics, whether it is through season tickets or supporting our student-athletes through current gifts or gifts in your estate, that you feel appreciated," said UMD Athletics Development Officer Katy Morgan. "The Bulldog Loyalty Program will allow each person to select experiences that are meaningful to them, and we are looking forward to this new approach."
