Farrell Returns to UMD Athletics as Director of Marketing and Events
After five years away, Lizzy Farrell has returned to the University of Minnesota Duluth athletic department as its Director of Marketing and Events.
Farrell comes to the Bulldogs after two yeas as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience at Penn State University. At PSU. Farrell created and executed full promotional schedules for six different sports, including nationally a ranked women's soccer team, women's hockey, men's golf, women's golf, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse. Farrell also managed marketing field items for PSU football and oversaw 30 interns as part of her duties.
Prior to her time with the Nittany Lions, Farrell was the Game Day Presentation Coordinator for the University of North Dakota at Ralph Engelstad Arena from 2019-2022. While in Grand Forks, Farrell helped create a full promotional schedules for four different sports, including men's hockey team, volleyball and men's and women's basketball.
"I'm excited to get back to Bulldog Country and give back to the department that gave me so much," said Farrell about her arrival back in Duluth.
Farrell returns to the Bulldogs where she was a UMD Marketing Assistant from 2017-2019, and before that, a marketing intern from 2014-May 2017. She graduated from UMD in May 2017 with a BBA in marketing.
