UMD Athletics Partners with Teamworks Influencer in NIL Program
The University of Minnesota Duluth, in partnership with Teamworks Influencer, has launched the UMD Bulldogs Exchange program, further expanding its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) program for UMD student-athletes.
The UMD Bulldogs Exchange is a custom-designed platform for local and national businesses to connect and engage directly with Minnesota Duluth student-athletes for NIL opportunities. Companies can find out information and register at umdbulldogs.com/exchange.
Part of an expanded partnership with Teamworks, the UMD Bulldogs Exchange will be a resource for student-athletes to connect with interested businesses, streamlining the process of generating business activity related to their name, image, and likeness (NIL). UMD will provide content for all student-athletes in the Influencer platform, making it a one-stop shop for social media photos, videos, NIL marketplace, and more. A free service for both student-athletes and businesses, a business can register on the exchange and have access to a searchable database of student-athletes with the ability to filter that database through a variety of criteria. Each business that is compliant with UMD's NIL guidelines can message the student-athlete directly in the application or request contact information to begin discussions about any potential NIL transaction.
The Influencer platform brings expertise in specific areas while working closely with UMD's internal team to provide student-athlete resources in education, NIL marketplace exchange access, infrastructure, agreement disclosure, compliance, content sharing, and personal branding.
