CEHSP student spotlight: Charles Maternoski

CEHSP student spotlight: Charles Maternoski Meet Charles Maternoski, a senior in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program

Why did I choose UMD?

UMD just seemed right! Originally, I was interested in the new Childhood Nature Studies program, and was encouraged by my mom to go here!

What do I like most about my program?

I really like the small class sizes in the CSD program and the awesome professors! Everyone is super friendly, and is always there for you if you need anything!

What has been my most meaningful experience?

Joining bulldogCatholic has been my most meaningful experience. It has changed my life!

What advice do you have for incoming students?

I would advise them to get involved in extracurricular activities. If you just have school, it can get very lonely, but the extracurriculars are where you make friendships, which make college SO much easier and fun. For me, that extracurricular was bulldogCatholic.

What do I like to do in my free time?

In my free time, I like to pray, play ultimate frisbee, go on a run, play Super Smash Bros, or just hang out with my friends! There is a world of possibilities in Duluth, both indoor and outdoor, which makes Duluth such an awesome place!
