CEHSP student spotlight: Kristina Etheridge
Why did you choose UMD?
I chose it for the accelerated Master of Social Work program
What do you like most about your programs?
The professors and how aspects/subjects from each core class aligned with each other. The convenience of coming to school every other Tuesday worked best with my busy schedule.
What has been your most meaningful experience at UMD so far?
The relationships and friendships I have established with faculty and students.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Do not be afraid to stand out by participating in class and group activities. Make friends within your major. One of the best things my class did was have a group chat so we could all assist each other and answer questions.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I am a full-time student, I intern, and I work part-time on top of being a mom, I do not have free time. When school is not in session, I like to travel the United States and other countries. I also enjoy going to music festivals and concerts.
