The University of Minnesota Duluth Athletic Department's first-ever Week of Giving, held April 23 through May 1, was officially a success for the Bulldogs.

UMD's entire department raised a total of $50,500, and in all, 271 donors – including 79 first-time donors to the department – contributed to UMD Athletics. The UMD soccer team raised the most overall dollars, while the women's hockey team had the highest percentage of alumni engagement. The women's basketball team had the most gifts received.

"The inaugural Bulldog Week of Giving was an incredible success," said UMD Athletic Development Officer Katy Morgan. "We are so grateful for the donors, alumni, season ticket holders and Bulldog faithful who stepped up to support each of our programs. As the cost of excellence continues to increase, donors have a real impact on our student-athletes and their ability to achieve excellence in the classroom, in competition, and throughout the community. Thank you!"
