Kate Fitzgerald of the University of Minnesota Duluth track and field team earned the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Association Elite 18 Award for women's outdoor track & field Saturday. Fitzgerald was presented the award following the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which concluded Saturday at James S. Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minnesota. This marks Fitzgerald's second NSIC Elite 18 Award -- she also earned the honor at the 2024-25 indoor championships.

University of Minnesota Duluth senior thrower Jackson Weston led the way Friday at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships inside Malosky Stadium.

In the final regular season meet of the season, the University of Minnesota Duluth men's and women's track and field teams finished out the regular season strong at the Meet of the UnSaintly in St. Paul, Minn.
