The No. 5 University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team may have started slow Friday night in the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn., but the Bulldogs came to boil with four unanswered goals to defeat Bemidji State University 4-1 in game one of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.

The No. 5 University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team will hit the ice for its last action of 2025 this weekend in Bemidji, Minn., where it will face Bemidji State University. The Western Collegiate Hockey Association clash will get underway at 6:00 p.m. Friday night before wrapping up Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Current University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey sophomore forward Caitlin Kraemer and former Bulldog All-American Jocelyne Larocque have been named to Canada's National Women's Team roster for the last two games of the Rivalry Series on Dec. 10 and Dec. 13 in Edmonton, Alberta, a final showdown before the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

Despite outshooting the No. 3 Ohio State University, the No. 4/5 University of Minnesota Duluth could only get one puck past the goal line in a 4-1 Western Collegiate Hockey loss Saturday afternoon at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn.
