Women's Hockey

Hockey Canada has announced the rosters for Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team and Canada's National Women's Development Team, and three University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey players landed on the two teams. Senior goaltender Eve Gascon and junior center Caitlin Kraemer Canada's National Women's Development Team, while incoming freshman defenseman Renee Lapoint has been named to the Canadian National Women's Under-18 Team.

Four current and former University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey players were invited to two different Canadian Women's National camps Friday -- senior goaltender Eve Gascon, junior center Caitlin Kraemer and former Bulldog and current PWHL defenseman Ashley Messier to Canada's National Team Development camp, while incoming freshman blueliner Renee Lapointe was invited to the Canadian National Team Under-18 camp.

While the University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team will have its share of Bulldogs showing up at NHL Development Camps this week, it was the UMD women's hockey soon to be junior Caitlin Kraemer who was invited to the Edmonton Oilers Development Camp that got underwayTuesday.
