Women's Cross Country

The University of Minnesota Duluth has promoted Brette Jensen to become its next Director of Track and Field and Cross Country after Jensen spent the last five and a half years as the head men's and women's cross country coach and assistant men's and women's track & field coach.

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced on Thursday that University of Minnesota Duluth current track and field athlete Elizabeth VanLoon has been named the 2026 Willis R. Kelly Scholar-Athlete Award for Academic Excellence. The award, in its 41st year, is presented to the NSIC's top female student athlete.

The five University of Minnesota Duluth athletic teams that competed during the 2025 fall athletic season had a combined total of 65 student-athletes earn Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic honors, the conference announced Thursday.

University of Minnesota Duluth graduate women's cross country runner Shaelyn Hostager finished up her collegiate cross country career Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championship on the Wane E. Danehl National Cross Country Course.
