University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey head coach Scott Sandelin will revisit his Spengler Cup roots in December after the Bulldog bench boss was named an assistant coach for the 2026 U.S. Collegiate Selects staff for the team that will compete in Davos, Switzerland in December.

The University of Minnesota Duluth and men's hockey head coach Scott Sandelin have agreed to a contract extension that will keep Sandelin behind the Bulldog bench through the 2029-30 season. Sandelin most recently signed a contract extension in June of 2022.

A total of 10 University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey freshmen and transfers were added to the Newcomer 2025-26 NCHC Honor Roll Thursday, with seven players earning Distinguished Scholar-Athletes status.

University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey player Max Plante earned one last award for his sophomore season Wednesday, named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America® at-large teams selected by the College Sports Communicators.
